Hi everyone,

I about to start buying my first rental property and I was wondering if you guys could briefly go through the process of submitting an offer for rental property. I have to have my own broker right? Also, what do you guys think of the Halifax market right now.

Thanks
Josh

Your broker will walk you through the process.
Find a broker that is experienced in the field of Income Investment Properties.
Very few brokers that do the majority of there work with home buyers know the first thing
about investment properties.
They are only concerned with closing a deal not with your best interests.
Unfortunately if you do not know what you are getting into you will have no way of knowing if your agent is s****ing you.
Start learning, trust no one until you can trust yourself.

In which city you are buying. If in Hamilton or Brampton feel free to ask for help. Thanks

Josh,

Greg`s advice is good regarding selecting the right people for your team.

If you haven`t yet, read Don Campbell`s book - Real Estate Investing in Canada. It`s a great starting point, and will help you answer a lot of your questions. I will also walk you through the steps of researching and determining if the area you are interested in investing in is a good idea.

Don`t take someone else`s advice that a market is a good place to invest. Do your due diligence and KNOW it is a good place to invest.
