`The Daily` is Statistics Canada's official
release bulletin, the Agency's first line of communication with the media and
the public. The Daily issues news releases on current social and economic
conditions (such as Gross Domestic Product) and announces new products every
day at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time. It provides a comprehensive one-stop overview of
new information available from Statistics Canada.


To subscribe
to `The Daily`, please follow these steps:


1)
Visit our
website at www.statcan.gc.ca and select the
language of your choice.


2)
From the main
page, under `Browse by`, select the `Key resource`
tab.



3)
Select `The
Daily`, located under the heading `Articles and reports`.


4)
From the
left-hand side menu, select "FREE Subscription".


5)
You may
subscribe to a subject of your choice. Select `Subscribe now` below the
heading `Subscribe to the Daily subject of your choice in My account`

6)
If you do not
already have an account, select `Create an Account Now` under the
heading `Don`t have an account?`.

7)
Complete the
required steps and select `Create My account` at the bottom of
the page.


8)
In order to
complete the subscription process, select at least one subject from the list
and click on `Submit` at the bottom of the page.


Additionally, to view dates of upcoming releases of
economic indicators in `The Daily`, please follow these
steps:


1) Visit our website at www.statcan.gc.ca and select the language of your choice.


2) From
the main page, under `Browse by`, select the `Key resource`
tab.



3)
Select `The
Daily`, located under the heading `Articles and reports`.


4) From the left-hand side menu, under `Releases`, select `Release
dates`.


5) Select the link for the year of release ` 2011 `.

6) ze: 10pt; font-family: "arial","sans-serif";">Select either the link to view release dates `by selected economic
indicator` or `by month`.

7) Click on the link for the economic indicator, for example, ` Gross Domestic Product by industry `. Upcoming release dates are shown in black text. You may access
previous releases by clicking on the links.
