resinding rent increase? Does it affect me?

I am in the process of switching out of a rental pool type of management. They had sent a increase notice of $50.00 un benounced to me. I gave them my notice of changing management companys so they said they would resind the increase notice.
What does that mean exactly and does it stop me from issuing an increase in rent????
I would appreciate some input and thanks.
