Quickstart COMPLETE listing?

Hi, I`m seriously considering purchasing the Quickstart program but before I invest
money, in any program, I like to know exactly what I`m buying.

I`m currently reading "Real Estate Investing in Canada", I`ve read the website`s sales
letter and brief summary, but I`m looking for a detailed list of what I`m going to be getting for my $600.

I understand time and money investment, and I realize that, if this package is all it claims
to be, $600 is a joke, especially when it comes to building a business.
But, I also understand copywriting, and so far, that`s all I`ve seen.

Does anyone here have a detailed list of what`s included in the Quickstart program, or a hidden link to the list, so I can
do exactly what Don says all members of REIN should do; their due diligence.

I understand not posting the complete listing on the website but I feel that if a
potential customer/member asks for the complete general listing, it should be provided to them.

The quickstart program is definitely "all it`s cracked up to be". I attended the June 2008 Quickstart in Calgary. I`ve also listened to the Quickstart homestudy program on CD. Basically you learn the same program as the book but with more detail and the added bonus of meeting many amazing people who have already done what you are likely aiming to do, ie., invest successfully in lots of cash-flowing properties. It`s the REIN system for real estate investing. If by "$600 is a joke", you mean it`s cheap, well yeah, it is reasonably priced. I`ve found value for money to be outstanding with all aspects of REIN membership.

I probably should have specified I was referring to the home study package.
Is the home study package simply a live recording of one of the events where one needs to listen and takes notes? If so, what year has it been recorded in, who are the speakers and is it still 100% relevant to today`s market?

Or is it a complete step by step package filled with research and other real estate related tools along with motivational material that gets you going in an organized manner?

Is this what I can expect from the home study package or is that more what I can expect from the $3500 membership?

The quickstart program comes with the membership. I find it`s really good. Essentially expanding on Don`s book with additional stuff.

I read Don`s book about 2 months ago, ordered the quickstart shortly after that and then joined REIN. The quickstart isn`t all motivation like you would get from Rich Dad books and audio. Although you hear great stories along the way, it really has a lot of substance. Before reading the book and doing the quickstart, I was "considering" buying a rental property. Now I have a plan to buy 3-6 doors later this summer and I feel very confident about doing it. Before I read Don`s material I had a few printouts of properties I was investigating. In hindsight, looking at my notes, I would have made some pretty big mistakes.

If you are not too serious about real estate, then stick with Don`s book to dabble. If you know for a fact that this is what you want to do, then you should probably get the membership(which comes with Quickstart).. Just the added forums are worth it.

You can read a book on how to play hockey and you might get an understanding of the game and learn to play at a rudimentary level. Or you can get a top coaching system to train you up effectively. Seesh, I miss hockey season.

Quickstart is a detailed porgam for analyzing locations and properties. It`s not the same as the info provided at the monthly meetings. It`ll likely be well worth the money if you`re wanting to purchase investment properties and have no background knowledge. Either way, it takes lots of work and time, and the best route is to become in expert in a small geographic area, in a certain property type, and only once mastered expand from there.

But in the event that I`m right I might have a few additional Quebec specific real estate questions as I get more and more acquainted with the material.

Anyway to answer your question, I feel that after only a couple of weeks of reading on real estate investing from various teachers and some "gurus" that I`m 80% sure that real estate will be the way to reach my goals, but I still need to investigate further.

Hi Mario,

I am French Canadian, but I hail from Norther Ontario originally. With the military I have been stationed in Halifax and Victoria. I couldn`t comment on Quebec Real Estate.

To me, the Quickstart program is focused towards investment properties but there are a lot of concepts that can be applied to your personal residence, such as due diligence, financing and making the deal. What it might do though is really wet your appetite and make you want to get into the investment side of it.
