Bought my first house in 2001, turned it into a 2 suite rental a year later. Bought a townhouse in 2003 as revenue. Sold everything during the boom, had a family and regrettably got out of the rental business. Have built and flipped a few properties (some even featured in magazines) in the mean time and just bought two houses for revenue purposes. Trying to take advantage of Saskatchewan's strong economy and shortage of available housing. Have a full time job (shift work) that allows me freedom to develop and work on opportunities as they become available. Have all the tools and some of the skills available for most jobs. If I can't do it myself, I probably know someone that can!
